The Derek Jeter 1993 Topps Rookie #98 was released in the 1993 Topps Series 1 set. This marked the first year since 1973 that the set was divided up into two series. This Derek Jeter card is the most valuable base card in the set. Derek Jeter was part of the Yankees core four in the late 90s and early 2000s that included Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, and Jorge Posada. This group would go on to win 4 world series titles in five years.
